The Bob Jones Memorial Airshow has now really taken off to become one of best in Britain, and the 2015 is going to bigger than ever, organisers have predicted
.
Thousands of people have been attracted in the past two years, thanks to the draw of display teams such as the Red Arrows to Welshpool Airport.

The first headliner to be announced for the 2015’s extravaganza announced for June 14 is the Great War Display team, which couldn;t be more fitting for these centenary years. 9 replica aircraft, of five different types, will perform choreographed dogfights right above Welshpool’s heads. For further information on the GWDT visit www.greatwardisplayteam.com

A spokesperson said: “The 2014 airshow was an overwhelming success both on the ground and in the air. This year we are looking to book a bumper show of eclectic flying displays that will top even that. Add to all this that we have the amazing Festival of Transport with hundreds of veteran vehicles displayed and a myriad stalls on the field itself. An amazing day out, guaranteed!”
